SCBook Festival - February 26 - 28, 2010
Many members of ABDASC will be participating in the SCBook Festival again this year. ABDASC is a long-time participant and sponsor of the SCBook Festival. Look for us particularly at the Book Appraisal Desk and Brunching with the Authors..
Book Appraisals
For those interested in finding out how much some of their own books are worth, the Antiquarian Book Dealers’ Association of South Carolina (ABDASC) will host a three-day appraisal fair at the Book Festival. Bring your old books, ephemera and other dated items by the desk for an estimate on the value of these treasures!
The cost is $10 (cash or check) to have up to three books appraised by an antiquarian book dealer. Half the proceeds from the appraisal fair will be donated to The Humanities Council South Carolina for next year’s book festival.

Brunching with Authors
The South Carolina Center for the Book in partnership with the SCBook Festival is happy to announce that tickets are now available for Brunching with Authors! The third annual Brunching with Authors is a special ticketed literary event that will feature a moveable feast of authors from the SCBook Festival at a gourmet brunch.
Brunching with Authors will take place on Sunday, February 28, 2010, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the Hilton Columbia Center in downtown Columbia. Tickets are $35 per person or $210 for a table of seven (one free seat when you purchase an entire table). Contact SCBookFestival.org for tickets and more info.
